Time to Reapply

Like most people, I love the sun. I love to get tan. I am Italian and have dark skin like my dad. Growing up I was always complemented on my skin color and the darker I got the better. Nowadays I have to be very careful in the sun because of my bone marrow transplant. It's called GVHD. Graft versus Host disease. This is when the body rejects the donors cells. I received my cells from my brother and because we were a perfect match, thank you God, my odds are slightly lower...I say that lightly. I still have to be very careful. When I speak with my brother he always tells me to stay out of the sun. I think this is his way of telling me he cares for me :) Cancer or no cancer we need to protect our skin from the sun and why not do it with a product that has eliminated so many harmful chemicals.

Let's take a look at my summer picks.

Countersun has a 30 SPF, UVA and UVB protection and water resistant. Also comes in a mist. What I love most about Beauty Counter is they have eliminated 1500 chemicals from their products. It's called the Never List and that is why it's on my list.

After I was newly separated, a book called Untamed by Glennon Doyle landed in my lap. Great book. As I was reading, I felt as if she was writing about me. Don't all great books do that? Glennon write
